The Office of Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein, in partnership with the Artist Solidarity Program Europe (ASoP), is offering a three-month residency grant to a Ukrainian artist.

The selected artist will live and work at the historic Turmhaus (Tower House) artist residence in Balzers, Liechtenstein:

The listed building is fully furnished and includes a kitchen, bathroom, two rooms, additional utility spaces, an outdoor seating area, a cellar, and an attic. The Turmhaus is available as a summer residence from approximately mid-April to mid-October. Please note that the building is not wheelchair accessible.

The residency selection and grant administration are led by the Office of Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Residency Details

Residency period: 13 April–6 July 2027

Arrival: Tuesday, 13 April 2027

Departure: Tuesday, 6 July 2027

Residents are required to be present for at least 80% of the residency period.

The Office of Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein will provide a grant of CHF 6,000 (EUR 6,400 total). The grant will be paid in three instalments: the first before arrival, the second approximately halfway through the residency, and the third after departure.

Travel expenses and, where necessary, visa support will be covered and arranged through the ASoP programme.

The open call is organised in cooperation with Office Ukraine.

Selection Process

The selection will take place in two stages. First, Office Ukraine and ASoP Europe will review all eligible applications and compile a shortlist of six artists. The Office of Cultural Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein, together with its expert jury, will then select one artist from the shortlist to receive the residency grant.
